I. New Student Registration

1. The admitted students shall register at the International Student Affairs Office prior to the deadline specified on the Admission Notice with their Passport, Admission Notice, and JW201 or JW202 Form. They shall fill in the Shanghai Polytechnic University International Student Registration Form. Students granted with the Shanghai Government Scholarships for International Students shall fill in and sign the Scholarship Registration Form.

  2. Students shall provide the receipt of payment for the tuition fee, accommodation fee and insurance premium invoice at registration.

  3. Students who are unable to register on time shall obtain the consent of the International Student Affairs Office in writing or by email. Those who do not register in two weeks are not eligible for admission to the university.

  4. Students receive their Student Card with a registration stamp on it, Campus Card and the Shanghai Polytechnic University International Student Orientation Handbook after a successful registration.

 

II New Student Orientation

  1. The International Student Affairs Office and relevant departments will organize an orientation for the new students including the introduction of the Chinese laws and regulations, regulations and rules of SSPU and study and life at SSPU etc.

  2. Each student shall be present the New Student Orientation on time per the arrangement of the International Student Affairs Office and the colleges (schools) concerned.

3. Each student shall follow the student conduct rules and take corresponding obligations while enjoying the rights stipulated by the university during their study.

 

III. Current Student Registration

1. Students are required to register at the International Student Affairs Office with their Student Card and passport within the specified time limit. Students have a registration stamp on their Student Card after a successful registration.

2. At the beginning of each school year, the students granted with the Shanghai Government Scholarship must fill in and sign on the Scholarship Registration Form.

3. Students shall provide the receipt of payment for the tuition fee, accommodation fee and insurance premium invoice at registration.

4. Students who are unable to register on time shall request a leave of absence in writing or by email, or it is regarded as a leave without permission, which may result in corresponding penalty. Those who do not register in two weeks for no reason are deemed to drop out of the university.

 

IV. Current Student Registration

The registration personnel shall check the validity of the students passport, visa class, date of entry and other crucial information and update the information if there is any change to ensure the correctness and completeness of the studentsinformation.
