College of Arts and Sciences, founded in 2014, consists of School of Foreign Languages, School of Sciences, Department of Public Relations and General Education Center. The development motto of College of Arts and Sciences is Learn to Strive and Learn to Thrive.

College of Arts and Scienceshas highly educated, young and internationalized faculty. The College has undertaken a number of research projects at provincial and ministerial level, including the National Natural Science Fund, Tianyuan Fund of Mathematics, Shanghai Natural Science Fund and Shanghai Education and Scientific Research Projects. The College has been awarded the title of Shanghai Excellent Teaching Team and has undertaken many municipal high-quality and key curriculum construction projects and teaching reform projects. Teachers and students have won prizes in teaching competitions and discipline competitions at the municipal level or above, such as the special prize of 7^th Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press Cup National College Foreign Language Teaching Competition (Shanghai tryouts), the special prize of National English Contest for College Students, second prize of China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling, etc.
