Shanghai Polytechnic University began to carry out the undergraduates’ education for overseas students since 2011, and the postgraduates’ education for overseas students since 2015. At present, SSPU has nearly 300 international studentsfrom Germany, U.S.A., Australia, Finland, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Laos, Kazakhstan, Cameroon and other countries, among which degree students account for 35%.


School of International Exchange (Office of International Student Affairs) is one of the important windows to implement internationalization strategy and carry out exchanges and cooperation. The main task of the School is to manage all foreign students’ affairs at SSPU, including foreign students’ enrollment, management and service; to establish and maintain the website for foreign student education; to assist the students with procedures for border exit and entry and assist all the teaching units with management of overseas students education and services; to work in accordance with the guidance ofShanghai Municipal Education Commission and Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of Shanghai Public Security Bureau; to further promote and deepen international exchange and cooperation programs and provide relevant services together with teaching units and departments by taking the lead of the establishment of international communication platform; to organize and implement teacher and student exchange programs and provide them with essential language training and relevant services.
