Recently, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission released the list of the fourth batch of Pilot Programs of Application Undergraduate Education of municipal universities. Environmental Engineering (head: Gao Guilan) of College of Engineering was approved. In order to achieve the objective, Academic Affairs Office made extensive mobilization, held exchange meeting of pilot program construction, and invited experts to conduct two rounds of selection and review. Seven programs of SSPU have been listed as pilot programs of application undergraduate education since 2014. This number is in a leading position in municipal universities. The university will keep enhancing its overall management for application undergraduate program construction and promoting teaching reform according to relevent documents. All pilot programs are expected to enhance its connotation construction, strengthen its objective of training applied talents, define reform direction, emphasize actual effects of reform, and keep accumulating reform experience and promoting reform achievements so as to enhance the quality of undergraduates.
