On the morning of Sept. 20, the theory test of welding certificate of German HWK was held in Building 14 in our university. The 32 students selected by College of Engineering and College of International Vocational Education had taken part in a 9-day training and two practical tests. Mr. Thomas Martin Klokow acted as the examiner who was in charge of the metal section of German HWK Halle. The persons in charge of College of Engineering and College of International Vocational Education and the teachers participated in the whole course of training and examination. Sino-German Vocational Education Center assisted to carry out the program smoothly.

The training was made up of the modules of German Dual education system, basic knowledge of welding, professional knowledge and practical operation of manual arc welding, etc. The trainer and examiner Mr. Klokow said the trainees were excellent in both theoretical study and practical operation, the equipment and environment in the Hands-on Training Center were both good, and the cooperation with the teachers of SSPU was very pleasant. The first batch of trainees were impressed by the German teacher's humorous class atmosphere, careful personal demonstration in practice and high attention to safety.
