2017 Opening Ceremony for Sino-American Cooperative Education BC Programs Held

    On the afternoon of Sept. 28, the opening ceremony for Sino-American Cooperative Education BC Programs underCollege of International Vocational Educationwas held in the Library and Information Center. President Yu Tao, J. David Armstrong, President of Broward College (US), the persons in charge of the related departments and sections of the cooperative parties and some invited guests attended the ceremony. All the students of 2017 of Sino-American Cooperative Education BC Programs and the representatives of Chinese and foreign teachers attended the ceremony, too. The opening ceremony was hosted by Zhang Jun, Dean of College of International Vocational Education.


    Presidents of both sides made speeches at the opening ceremony. J. David Armstrong, President of Broward College, extended welcome to the students of 2017 Grade and his satisfaction for the long-term cooperation with our university. He hoped the students could seize the opportunity and work hard. President Yu Tao extended warm welcome to J. David Armstrong from afar and hoped the students of 2017 Grade could "Learn to Behave, Learn to Do Things, Learn to Understand and Learn to Cooperate".

    Mao Ting, the representative of the teachers of BC Programs, shared two specialties to succeed with the new students, that was, choosing wisely and sticking to it. Lu Jiaqing, the representative of the senior students, showed the direction of the university life to the new students with his own leaning experience. Yang Zian, the freshman representative, expressed the expectations for the new semester and the determination to work hard.
