On Sept. 28, on the occasion of the 57th anniversary of SSPU, the 4th SSPU Alumni Association Meeting was held in the lecture hall of Academic Exchange Center. The members of Alumni Association, the persons in charge of the Branch Alumni Association, heads of departments and offices, the persons in charge of teaching and research units, representatives of teachers and students and the university leaders Song Baoru, Yu Tao and Zou Longfei attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by President Yu Tao, Chairman of the Alumni Association.

    Song Baoru, secretary of the Party committee of SSPU, made a welcome speech. He said, adhering to the orientation of "Profession Oriented Higher Education" and training direction of applied talents, seizing the opportunity of comprehensively deepening the comprehensive reform of higher education, the university made new progress in the last year with the support from the alumni and all friends in the aspects of the morality education, implementation of the spirit of the conference on Ideological and political work, talent training, improvement of education quality, international exchange and cooperation, expansion of the vision of teachers and students. Secretary Song Baoru wished the alumni could come back frequently in the future, care and support the development of the university as usual, and work together to build the university into a competitive high-quality multidisciplinary university of applied sciences with distinctive features.

    President Yu Tao made an annual report ofthe Alumni Association. He reviewed the main work of the university in six aspects. The first was that the university better adapted to industry demand with Industry & Education Integration and University & Industry Collaboration. The second was enhancing the education of students' comprehensive quality and professional credit by taking students as the foundation. The third was pushing forward steadily the annual task of deepening the comprehensive reform of education. The fourth was optimizing the layout of international exchanges and cooperation and further upgrading the connotation. The fifth was strengthening the campus construction and layout adjustment. The sixth was the influence of the university was raised. President Yu Tao also reported the main work of the Alumni Association in 2017. He pointed out the alumni played an important role in supporting the reform and developmentofthe university, building ideological and political characteristics, promoting Industry & Education Integration and University & Industry Collaboration, strengthening the self-construction of Alumni Association. President Yu Tao hoped all the alumni could continue supporting the university so as to promote new achievements in all aspects.

    The meeting deliberated and passed the proposal list of the organizational structure of the branch of the 4th Alumni Association. The association members and alumni representatives interacted and exchanged ideas on the work of the university and the Alumni Association.
