On Dec. 25, Foreign Experts Activity 2017 was held to extend our thanks and salutes tothe foreign experts working in our university and to deepen the communication and friendship with the foreign experts.Vice President XieHuaqing, foreign teachers andoutstanding overseas teachers still working in our university, heads of relevant departments and teaching units attended the activity together.

　　QiaoLiqing, Director of International Office, reviewed and summarized the foreign experts work in 2017. Benjamin Taunay, anoutstanding overseas teacher from France, Ronald van de Cappelle, a Dutch teacher, and Jeffrey Bartlett, an Australian teacher, made speeches as representatives of the foreign experts. They expressed their thanks for the care and help from our university and their confidence and longing for work in the future.

　　VicePresident XieHuaqing made a speech at the activity. He extended his thanks to the foreign experts for their support and contributions to our university. He said Shanghai Polytechnic University implements the internationalization strategy in recent years, by actively introducing foreign high-quality teaching resources and intellectual resources to improve theeducation internationalization and theeducation level of our university. Besides continuing to employ long-term foreign teachers, our university has introduced varioustypes of foreign experts in a variety of forms by actively expanding the recruitment channels. The foreign experts' work has injected new vitality, enriched the connotation and expanded the platform in the fields like teaching and scientific research in our university and they have made great contributions to the construction and development of Shanghai Polytechnic University. He sincerely hoped the foreign experts could continue to offer suggestions on the development of our university and more foreign experts were welcomed to work in Shanghai Polytechnic University.
