Vice President Kuei-Kuei Lai and Yang Yicheng, Director of Cross-Strait Affairs, of Chaoyang University of Technology (Taiwan China) visited Shanghai Polytechnic University on the afternoon of Nov. 16. The distinguished guests were warmly received by VicePresident XieHuaqing. Heads ofOffice for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs, School of Applied Arts &Design attended the meeting.

     VicePresidentXieHuaqing extended warm welcome tothe delegation ofVicePresidentKuei-Kuei Lai. He reviewed and summarized the cooperation in student exchange, teacher training, teacher visiting, cross-strait conferences and so on, between the two universities in recent years. He also extended his thanks to Chaoyang University of Technology forthe efforts they made to the cooperation between the two sides and praised the concept and management features of Chaoyang University of Technology. He hoped to further expand the field of cooperation, enrich cooperation forms and deepen cooperation levelsbased on the cooperation which had already been conducted.

　　The two sides communicated and exchanged ideas on issues of common concern in the current cooperation. They also had a discussion and made a plan in receiving Taiwan students to Shanghai forinternship and exchange, deepening the cooperation between teachers, etc., and reached a broad consensus.
