On the afternoon of April 23, delegation of Trent University, Canada, headed by Jacqueline Muldoon, Vice President and Provost, and Catherine Bruce, Dean of School of Education, visited SSPU. Vice President Xie Huaqing met with the delegation.

On the meeting, Vice President Xie introduced SSPU and its teaching characteristics and international exchanges. He demonstrated that the two universities are similar in education philosophy and dominant disciplines and have a broad cooperation prospect. He also expressed the intention of a further discussion on the areas and modes of cooperation for future exchanges. Vice President and Provost Jacqueline Muldoon introduced the teaching, scientific researches and international cooperation of Trent University, and expressed the desire to develop cooperation with SSPU. After discussion, the two sides have reached a consensus on teacher and student exchanges and scientific research cooperation.

Accompanied by heads of International Office and College of Engineering, the delegation visited the Intelligent Manufacturing Factory, Engineering Training Center and Shanghai Cooperative Center of WEEE Recycling as well.
