First International Cultural Festival Held at SSPU

The First International Cultural Festival of SSPU was held on April 20. Foreign students from Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Thailand, Laos, Laos, South Korea, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Italy, Finland, Germany, Sweden and students from SSPU participated in various activities, putting on a fantastic show at this cultural feast.


  


Vice President Xie Huaqing first made a speech at the opening ceremony in the morning. He stated that the International Cultural Festival provided a performance stage for foreign students. It also played an active role in enhancing the cross-cultural communication ability and broadening the horizon of teachers and students of SSPU and improving the campus culture as well. Mark, who came from Italy, gave a speech as the representative of all foreign students, in which he hoped that every participant could make new friends through the activities. At the gala, students from all over the world introduced their culture through PowerPoint.


Spectacular events such as cultural exhibition, artistic performance and cultural interaction were held in front of the gymnasium at noon. President Yu Tao also came to the scene to interact with Chinese and foreign teachers and students. Every exhibition booth was crowded with students participating in traditional games and interacting with foreign students. On the stage, foreign students performed distinctive and exotic programs, winning warm applause from teachers and students.


  


The Festival was hosted by Office of International Student Affairs and co-organized by Foreign Student Association. In the future, the International Cultural Festival will be held annually as a regular campus cultural activity.
