Recently, 61 courses of universities in Shanghai got approved by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission as Shanghai University Demonstrative English-taught Courses. 3 courses of SSPU are on the list, which are International Investment by teacher Xu Li of School of Economics and Management, Management Information System by teacher Chen Zhumin of College of Engineering, and Database Theory and Application by teacher Ji Min of College of Engineering.
Shanghai University Demonstrative English-taught Course Construction Project was first launched by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission in 2009, aiming at setting up a series of demonstrative English-taught courses to train talents with global competitiveness. By far, 9 courses of SSPU have got approved. International Business, Information Management and Information Systems have been listed as Shanghai University Demonstrative English-taught Planning Programs (2017-2019).
To train students with a global vision and cross-cultural capability is a primary characteristic of SSPU talent cultivation. The construction of English-taught courses lays a significant foundation for the promotion of the internationalization of talent training and offers students abundant and high quality English-taught courses.
