Opening Ceremony of Cooperative Education Programs with Broward College Held

On the afternoon of Sept. 26, the opening ceremony of Sino-US Cooperative Education Programs with Broward College (BC) was held. SSPU President Yu Tao, Vice President Mo Liangjin, BC President Emeritus J. David Armstrong, Jr., heads of International Office and College of International Vocational Education, teacher representatives of SSPU and BC and 55 freshmen attended the ceremony.

  

 

President Emeritus J. David Armstrong, Jr. first delivered a speech. He praised the four-year cooperation between BC and SSPU, and hoped that the students could seize the opportunity and actively participate in the collaborative exchange.

  

President Yu highly appreciated the achievements gained by the joint programs between the two sides in his remark. He expected that both institutions could furthergive full playto their strengths and deepen cooperation, and hoped that the students could be far-sighted and make substantial progress, making contribution to the development of SSPU.

  

BC teacher representative Mary, SSPU teacher Duan Xueyan, and Pan Qianwen, a student of Class 2016 gave speeches on the ceremony. Jiang Zhennan, first SSPU student being awarded BC President Scholarship, also presented a video message to the freshmen from the U.S.
