SSPU Delegation Attend Interim Meeting of Horizon Plan 2020

From Sept. 19 to Sept. 22, the interim meeting of Virtual Factory Interoperation Supporting Business Innovation (FIRST PROJECT), an international cooperative project SSPU participated in, was held in Groningen, the Netherlands. SSPU project coordinator Bai Yuewei and project member Liu Kai attended the meeting on behalf of Chinese cooperative institutions.

  

On the meeting, Professor Bai Yuewei made a speech themed SSPU and First in which he reported the work and research achievements during the implementation of the project, and made an invitation to EU universities and enterprises for a visit to SSPU to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation. EU representative expressed the intention of exploring closer collaboration with China in the field of Manufacturing.

  

FIRST PROJECT is an international cooperation project of MESE-RISE program of EU Horizon Plan 2020 jointly applied by SSPU, Wuhan KM Soft and European partners. Foreign partners including Bournemouth University, UK, University of Groningen, the Netherlands, Sapienza Università di Roma, Italy, Universita degli studi di Modena e reggio emilia, Italy, and GK Software AG (Germany), attended the meeting.

  

 

In the project, all member institutions developed in-depth cooperation focusing on intelligent workshop, virtual factory, human friendly modelling technology, instant verification technology of procedural model and the prototype system development for the interoperate framework of manufacturing resources and services. They made joint efforts to complete all research tasks, achieved objectives, and published academic papers on relevant meetings and periodicals prior to the interim assessment of the FISRT PROJECT. Through the implementation of the project and communication, SSPU members absorbed the latest research achievements in intelligent manufacturing, virtual factory, virtual enterprise from EU partners, enhancing SSPU’s capability in relevant fields.
