Joint Program Approved as Key Project of International Technology and Innovation Cooperation under National Key R&D Program of China

Recently, the jointly applied program Virtual Factory Interoperation Technology and its Application in MES via Sino-Europe Cooperationby SSPU Mechanical Engineering Discipline team led by Prof. Bai Yuewei from College of Engineering and other institutions got approved by Ministry of Science and Technology as a key project of Intergovernmental International Technology and Innovation Cooperation under National Key R&D Program of China. The cooperative institutions are Wuhan KM Information Technology Co., Ltd., China, Bournemouth University, U.K., University of Groningen, the Netherlands, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, Universita degli studi di Modena e reggio emilia, Italy, and a world-renowned company—GK Sofware AG—which provides solutions to IT problems.

  

The program, under the background of Intelligent Manufacturing, focuses on the scientific study on mass customization with reasonable costs and the innovation and reform of current mode in manufacturing industry. By integrating the research achievements and KAIMU Manufacturing Execution System (KMMES), the adaption and extension of China’s MES technology will be enhanced in the distributed application environment. Meanwhile, the program explores talent cultivation mode applicable to the 2025 Strategy of China’s Intelligent Manufacturing, carrying out engineering practice.
