Recently, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (SHMEC) and Shanghai Education Development Foundation (SHEDF) jointly released 2018 Funding List of Shanghai Dawn Program in which 108 persons in universities in Shanghai were selected.Study on Construction and Performance of Active Oxygen Testing System of Iron-Based Nanocompositeled by teacher Zhao Xueling from College of Engineering, andStudy on Activation, Preservation and Innovative Animation of Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage—Dance with Flower Basket Lampled by teacher Yan Xing from School of Applied Arts and Design were on the list. Until now, 14 SSPU teachers are awarded the title of Dawn Scholar.

Dawn Program is sponsored by SHEDF and jointly managed by SHMEC and SHEDF, aiming at promoting capacity building of university teachers. The Program has two categories –Natural Sciences, and Humanities and Social Sciences, respectively funding each project 60,000 RMB and 20,000 RMB.
