On Feb. 16, 2021, Master's Degree Awarding Ceremony of Business School, Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU), was held online. Assel K. Jumasseitova, KBTU Vice Rector, Yerzhan Mukashev, Dean of KBTU Business School, and Mi Guixiong, Consul for Science, Technology and Education of Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Alma-Ata attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Teacher representatives of both universities and SSPU student representative Ji Hongying spoke on the ceremony. Representatives from SSPU International Office, Graduate Affairs Office, College of Engineering and School of International Exchange participated in the event online.

Among 33 master degree graduates of KBTU Business School, 9 are from SSPU. In addition, SSPU postgraduate Gao Ying who was awarded the Master’s Degree of International Project Management and Engineering by KBTU Faculty of Energy and Oil & Gas Industry was also invited to the ceremony.

In 2019, SSPU and KBTU signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop in-depth cooperation in student mobility, teacher exchange, joint research, etc. In the same year, 10 SSPU students successfully applied and received the scholarship granted by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and went to Kazakhstan for further study in KBTU. All of them were awarded Master’s Degree in 2021.
