On the morning of Dec. 2, 2021 Pudong International Talent Hub Forum was held at Pudong Shangri-La Hotel, Shanghai. The Forum focused on empowering industry development and technological innovation. The awarding ceremony of the Pudong New Area Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base was also held at the Forum. SSPU President Xie Huaqing received the award on behalf of SSPU.

By establishing the Base, SSPU aims to train postdoctoral talents in intelligent manufacturing, who are able to solve complex engineering technical problems, carry out engineering technological innovation, and undertake high-level engineering technology projects. SSPU will therefore further achieve its goal of training advanced interdisciplinary talents, significantly improving the theoretical level of its teachers and the team of co-supervisors. It will play a major part in supplying high-level talents to relevant industries in Pudong New Area and in Shanghai, and contribute to the high-quality development of manufacturing industry.
