SSPU Students Win Champion in Cross-Straits Market Research and Analysis Competition for College Students

On Aug. 19, the Seventh Cross-Straits Market Research and Analysis Competition for College Students came to an end at Capital University of Economics and Business in Beijing. SSPU delegation of the major of Applied Statistics won the championship in the national Finale.



   

Students of Applied Statistics have been taking part in this disciplinary competition for 5 consecutive years since 2013. It is the first time for SSPU delegation to enter the Finale and win the champion.

   

The Competition is co-hosted by Statistics Teaching Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education, Commerce Statistical Society of China and Chinese Applied Statistic Association, and organized by Capital University of Economics and Business. It is a non-profit professional contest for cross-straits college students. The judges range from professors of cross-straits universities to CEOs and Directors of world renowned enterprises in the industry. The purpose of the Competition is not only to promote the statistical surveys in cross-straits universities, but also improve the practical development of industry-university cooperation concerning relevant courses. Driving forward the practical teaching in universities and enhancing students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge into real cases in order to train professional talents is the objective of the Competition as well.
