On June 1, Shanghai tryouts of the 9th China National College Student "Innovation, Originality and Entrepreneurship" Challenge (the Challenge) was held at East China Normal University. 15 SSPU teams were selected to participate in the on-site defense. 9 teams of them won prizes, including 1 special prize, 1 second prize and 7 third prizes. The winning students are from programs including Electronic Business, Information Management and Information System, Investment, etc.

The Challenge is hosted by Teaching Guidance Committee of Electronic Business of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, and Shanghai tryouts is hosted by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. The competition aims to train students to form a sense of innovation, originality, entrepreneurship and teamwork spirit. It plays an active role in implementing the reform of innovative education and practical teaching, and enhancing the connection among industry, university and research.
