Recently, Shanghai Tryout of the 5th China College Students’ ‘Internet Plus’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition came to an end at East China Normal University.

Nearly 2,000 SSPU students with 545 programs signed up for the competition since it kicked off in April. After preliminary contest on campus, 1 program entered Vocational Education session and 9 entered Higher Education session in Shanghai tryout. Eventually, SSPU students won 1 silver medal and 6 bronze medals in Shanghai.

China College Students’ ‘Internet Plus’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is an important platform for deepening the educational reform of innovation and entrepreneurship in China. It has become the most influential college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship competition with the most extensive coverage nationwide. Since its beginning in 2015, over 5,000,000 college students from 1,200,000 program teams joined in the competition. Programs with high scientific and technological content, market potential and social benefit came into being in this competition. Featuring with innovation-led entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship-driven employment, the competition greatly shows the capacity and effect of education in serving social and economic development.
