Recently, the 13thShanghai College Chemistry Experiment Competition was held at Donghua University. The Competition was hosted by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and co-organized by Shanghai Advisory Committee on Teaching Chemistry Experiment in Higher Education. After the two-day written examination and experimental operation contest, 2 SSPU students won bronze medals, writing a new record of this competition in SSPU history.

Shanghai College Chemistry Experiment Competition, launched in 2007, has been held for 13 consecutive years. It is one of the most influential college discipline competitions in East China region, and even in the whole country. Joining in the competition are 15 universities in Shanghai including Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, East China Normal University, East China University of Science and Technology, etc. and other well-known universities such as Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, University of Science and Technology of China, and so on.
