SSPU Students Win Prizes in New Material Innovation and Creativity Competition for College Students in Shanghai

On August 27, the Final of the 6th New Material Innovation and Creativity Competition for College Students in Shanghai was held at University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. 4 postgraduate teams and 1 undergraduate team wonprizes, including1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes. First prize winner is the project"Solar Photothermal Conversion and Thermal Energy Storage of Graphene/Copper Foam/Phase-Change Composite System" under the guidance of teacher Wang Lingling from College of Engineering. Second prizes winners are the projects "Preparation of Transparent Colloidal Photonic Crystal" and "High-performance H2S Gas Sensor with Low Operating Temperature of the Heterostructure CuO/In2O3 derived from In-MOF" under the guidance of teachers Chen Cheng and Xie Lili from College of Engineering. Third prizes winners are the projects "Heat Collection Performance of Magnetic Two-component Photothermal Nanofluid Enhanced Body Absorber" and "Preparation and Application of New Green Plastic Filling Materials" under the guidance of teachers Yu Wei and Wang Lijun from College of Engineering.

   

  

This competition, hosted by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and organized by University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, is one of the largest, most comprehensive and most influential events regarding materials in Shanghai. It aims to discover innovative and entrepreneurial talents and outstanding creative projects, and to create an innovative and entrepreneurial atmosphere among students, leading more college students to participate in innovation training and entrepreneurship practice.
