Students from School of Applied Arts and Design Win Prizes in Advanced Graphics Technology and Innovative Design Competition

Recently, the awarding ceremony of the 11th“Shangtu Cup” Advanced Graphics Technology and Innovative Design Competition – “Maxus” RV Cup Industrial Design Competition was held at 2636 Innovation Park in SAIC Technology Center for Commercial Vehicle.

  

Students of Industrial Design from School of Applied Arts and Design won prizes in the competition. One SSPU team won the first prize in team competition of “Shangtu Cup” Industrial Design Competition and also the bronze medal of “Maxus” RV Cup Industrial Design Competition. Another four teams respectively won the second prize and one student won the first prize in individual competition. Two teachers Xu Ang and Dai Fang were awarded Excellent Guiding Teacher, and teacher Yuan Hefa participated in the whole preparation period.

  

 

"Shangtu Cup" Advanced Graphics Technology and Innovative Design Competition is hosted by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, supported by Shanghai Association for Science and Technology, and co-organized by Shanghai Graphics Society and Donghua University. It has been held for 11 consecutive years. The Competition is a skill contest with high reputation among universities in Shanghai, aiming to train university students’ engineering drawing, innovation and practice abilities. The competition this year introduced business design section, setting the real demands of businesses as the topics. This requires the contestants to design innovative and reasonable schemes through investigation and analysis of a real product and its design concept.
