In July, 2021, China’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security awarded the honorary title of National Technical Expert to 1,603 winners of the 45thWorld Skills Competition, the First Vocational Skills Competition of the People’s Republic of China, and various vocational skills competitions in 2019-2020. SSPU students Liang Jun and Yuan Ming from College of International Vocational Education won the title due to their excellent performance in the First Vocational Skills Competition of PRC.

National Technical Expert is an honorary title commending excellent technical workers with sophisticated technical skills. It is considered as an important part of the awarding system for national technical talents. In the First Vocational Skills Competition of PRC held in 2020, Liang Jun from 2018 Web Development won the gold medal in Web Design and Development and student Yuan Ming from 2017 Web Development won the bronze medal in Cloud Computing. They were also awarded the honorary title of Shanghai Technical Expert.
