SSPU Students Win Prize in the 11th Shanghai College Students Mechanical Engineering Innovation Competition

On June 25, the 11th Shanghai College Students Mechanical Engineering Innovation Competition and also the Shanghai Tryout of the 10th National Undergraduate Mechanical Innovative Design Competition was held online. 5 SSPU teams participated in the competition with projects including Bionic Ray Carrying a Detection Module, Intelligent Photovoltaic Panel Cleaning System, etc. The project Bionic Ray Carrying a Detection Module by students from School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Control Engineering won the second prize. The guiding teachers are Wan Jingui and Yan Gai.

  

 

The competition themed by Nature·Harmony was hosted by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. Over 800 students and teachers in 165 teams from 16 universities in Shanghai participated in the competition. 106 projects competed in Bionic Machinery section and 59 in Ecological Restoration section, among which 33 projects won the first prizes, 50 the second prizes and 9 Best Creative Awards. In the end, 15 outstanding works stood out and were selected to compete in the national competition on behalf of Shanghai.

The National Undergraduate Mechanical Innovative Design Competition is an important competition in science and engineering held once every two years, considered as a feast for the machinery discipline.

  

Shanghai College Students Mechanical Engineering Innovation Competition as the provincial level tryout which was launched in 2012, has become an influential competition for college students in Shanghai with the strong support of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission.
