Team of Product Design Wins Prize in First China Stationery Innovative Design Competition

On Aug. 8, Team of Product Design of School of Applied Arts and Design participated in the Third China Stationery Innovation Design Forum and the First China Stationery Innovative Design Competition Award Ceremony on invitation in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. The activities, hosted by China Industrial Design Association, are the top level design forum and competition in the field of stationery production in China.

  

 

Lin Chenye, Director of department of Product Design and head of the program of Product Design, a national first-class undergraduate program, delivered a speech themed bythe Industry-University-Research Cooperation in Stationery Industry of Product Design Program in Shanghai Polytechnic University, sharing his team’s practice and achievements of industry-university-research cooperation in stationery industry.

  

 

Students of Product Design won 11 prizes in the First China Stationery Innovative Design Competition, including 1 gold award, 1 silver award, 1 bronze award and 8 nominee awards. The winning products stood out of 2,063 works from 192 universities nationwide. Teachers Lin Chenye, Mo Yiping and Zhu Di were awarded the title of Excellent Guiding Teacher. At the same time, the 11 works were exhibited at the Achievement Exhibition of the competition, showing the teaching ability and achievements of SSPU national first-class program.

  

 

Through participating in the forum, the Product Design program will take the Cultural Office Supplies Industry Branch of China Industrial Design Association as a platform to actively contribute to the establishment of the China Cultural Office Supplies Industry (Union) Innovation Research Institute. A sustainable and high-level industry-university-research cooperation mechanism will be formed to transform the cooperation mode from targeting a single enterprise to the whole industry so as to produce more teaching and research results.
