On Oct. 26, the 3rdYunfeng Cup National Reverse Logistics Design Competition and 2019 Reverse Logistics Summit were held at Lingang Campus, Shanghai Maritime University. The competition is hosted by Shanghai Logistics Association, Shanghai Operations Research Society and Shanghai Logistics Society, and organized by Shanghai Maritime University and Shanghai Polytechnic University.
4 student teams from School of Economics and Management respectively won first prize, second prize, third prize and excellent design award.
The Competition this year has attracted 333 teams with over 1,300 students from universities including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Shanghai University, etc. 40 teams eventually entered the final and respectively participated in higher vocational group, undergraduate group, postgraduate group. The contestants took online tests in the preliminary and their project operation and design abilities were tested in the first round. The final took the form of on-site defense. Each participating team made up of 4 members was required to come up with an optimum proposal for real reverse logistic issues in Yunfeng International Logistics Co., Ltd. through case study.
Yunfeng Cup National Reverse Logistics Design Competition is the most influential competition in the field of reverse logistics gathering pioneers of the industry, persons in charge of reverse logistics in universities and scholars from scientific and research institutes. It aims to promote the educational development of logistics-related programs through university-enterprise cooperation by following the national environmental protection policy and the need to optimize industrial resources.
