Shanghai Final of 2020 “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” English Public Speaking Contest was held on Nov. 21 at East China Normal University. Student Chu Luyi from College of Arts and Sciences,under the guidance of Professor Wang Lu, won the first prize with her solid language proficiency, rigorous logic thinking and beautiful pronunciation and intonation after competing with 26 contestants from 26 universities in Shanghai. This is the third time for SSPU English major students to win the first prize in Shanghai final in recent years.
FLTRP Cup English Public Speaking Contest is co-hosted by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, National Foreign Languages Teaching Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education and ELT Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education. The contest has attracted lots of attention from both home and abroad. It now becomes the largest and top English speaking contest with the most participants in China.
