On the afternoon of July 5, a video conference was held between SSPU and University of Genoa (UniGe), Italy. Prof. Fulvio Mastrogiovanni, UniGe Vice President for Internationalization as well as Head of the Master in Robotics Engineering, Prof. Silvia Marelli, Head of the Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Ms. Huangfu Cong, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Creative City Technology and Development Co., Ltd., Mr. Chen Yuhao, Italian language teacher of Sino-Italian Innovation Center, Ms. Qiao Liqing, Director of SSPU International Office, Prof. Li Ning, Vice Dean of SSPU School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Control Engineering, and other representatives attended the meeting.

The two sides firstly gave a brief introduction to the universities, Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s degree program in Robotics Engineering. The attendees then discussed and reached certain consensus on related matters about the Sino-foreign cooperative program of Mechanical Engineering including the application time, student enrollment, Italian language requirements, the signing of cooperative agreements, etc. In addition, cooperation on the combined Bachelor-Master programs, double Master’s degree programs, and joint training of Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Automation and Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering were also discussed.

Mr. Zhang Fei, Director of Intelligent Manufacturing Factory Lab, Prof. Tian Haobin, Director of Department of Mechanical Engineering as well as Head of Mechanical Engineering, Ms. Wu Jun, Director of Teaching and Research Section of Mechanical Engineering, and representative from International Office also attended the meeting.
