Professor Liu Jianjun, the Vice-President of Institute of Marxism of Fudan University, the Director of Center for Modern China of Fudan University, the doctoral supervisor, and the teacher of Institute of International Relations and Public Affairs of Fudan University made the report titled as“Craftsman Value and Shanghai Spirit”in our university on April 5. This report is the fifth lecture of series report of“Craftsman in China”.

In the report, Professor Liu Jianjun combed and summarized the Craftsman spirit embodied in the development of Shanghai traditional industry --”Craftsman moral”,“Craftsman art”and“Craftsman Soul”from the point of history and material carrier of Craftsman spirit, and analyzed the function of Craftsman spirit and value in establishment of shanghai spirit and city management. He pointed out that the mature city management should contain precise control system, fined detail management and delicate detail building, which are also the reflection of Craftsman spirit, and this spirit should be extended from production to social field so as to make delicate Craftsman spirit be a part of city life.

Finally, Professor Liu Jianjun made an excellent conclusion for this report using the saying from President Xi Jinping--”City management should be as delicate as embroidery”.
