The final & show activity of Meaningful Poetry and Prose & Songs of Friendship--2017 Shanghai Chinese Poetry and Prose Recitation for International Students was closed in Yangpu District Children’s Palace on Nov. 19. The activity was held by Shanghai Language Proficiency Test Center. The team reading programSpring selected from our university was awarded the Prize for Excellence and our university won Excellent Organization Award.

　　The contest lasted for three months and attracted hundreds of competitors from 19 units and 34 countries and regions. The number of online hits reached over 100 thousand.School of International Exchange (Office of International Student Affairs) actively organized the international students of our university to sign up and take part in the contest. Two team reading programs and four individual reading programs received qualification for the semi-finals. The team reading programSpring was awarded the Prize for Excellence at last. Besides the contest, our university actively cooperated with the organizing committee of the contest by preparing a flute solo and a folding fan dance ofSong to Spring to take part in the performance show at the final.
