A delegation led by DeputySecretary ZouLongfei visited University at Albany-SUNY from Nov. 26 to Nov. 30. The delegation had an in-depth discussion on cooperation projects, such as students exchange, teacher training, outstanding overseas teachers, with the university during the visit.
The University at Albany-SUNY in the United States that the delegation visited is a research-based public university. The university is one of the oldest ones in the system of SUNY and enjoys a good reputation around the world. Some majors of the university like Information Science and Public Service Management come out in front in America. Especially, its Business School is one of the business schools that have the most comprehensive power in the northeastern part of the US. The delegation was warmly received by John Pomeroy, Director of International Exchange Affairs Office,Harvey Charles, Dean of School of International Education and others. Based on the cooperation agreement signed by the two universities before, two sides had a specific discussion on the bachelor program for the graduates in 2018 under the Sino-US cooperative programs and Sino- Australian cooperative programs and other issues like Outstanding Overseas Teachers, 3+1 Double Degree and Exchange Students were also talked about. Both sides agreed that there werea lot of cooperation possibilities between the two universities. They also made a plan for the promotion of the projects and the signing of relevant agreements for the next step.
The delegation also visited the Student Affairs Center, the library, the gymnasium, etc., of the university during the visit. Some relevant personnel from International Office, School of Economics and Management, College of International Vocational Education and Department of Physical Education were also in the delegation.
