Students of College of Engineering Won First Prize in National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest

  It is known from the awarding ceremony of 2017National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contestheld in Beijing that the team made up of XuJianbang, Yang Tan and PengXiaokun of College of Engineering won theFirst Prize.

  

  The National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contestconsists of three stages including a 4-day-and-3-night semi-closed project competition, one-day closed hardware design projectcompetition and a national assessment on the projects and reports in the first two stages. The team cannot win until get through the three stages successfully. The team from our university selected the subject ofIndoor Positioning Device of Visible Light. With the help of the careful guidance and professional training by the tutor, Prof. Yang Guanqun, the three members of the team won National First Prize at last which was the best result of teams of our university have got in the event in recent years. 

  The National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest is one of the discipline contests advocated by the Ministry of Education for undergraduates. It started in 1994 and is held every other year. The contest this year attracted 43,341 student competitors from 1,071 universitiesand colleges. The contest this year was the largest of all ever since it started. In Shanghai Contest in the earlier days, the team of XuJianbang, Yang Tan and PengXiaokun and the team of Chen Baiyi, Zhong Yin and Wang Qianhui each won the First Prize in Shanghai Contest.
