On the afternoon of May 21, Zhanbolat Meldeshov, President of Center for International Programs of Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Suleimenov Berik, Chief Representative of Representative Office, and Lazzat Zhakisheva, Manager of Division of International Projects Implementation, visited SSPU. Vice President Xie Huaqing met with the guests. 

On the meeting, Vice President Xie briefed SSPU’s basic information, internationalization and its cooperation with the universities in the Belt and Road countries in recent years, and primarily introduced the collaboration with universities in Kazakhstan. He expressed gratitude to the Center for their endeavor to build a bridge of cooperation between universities in China and Kazakhstan. He also stated that SSPU and universities in Kazakhstan shared a broad prospect for cooperation, and would like to have discussions on teacher and student exchange and joint program application to promote mutual development. 

President Zhanbolat Meldeshov introduced the Center, and expressed his wish to continuously push forward collaboration with SSPU. Both sides deeply discussed and reached a consensus on further cooperation. During the visit, the delegation visited School of Applied Arts & Design, Smart Manufacturing Factory Lab and Engineering Training Center. Heads of International Office and School of International Exchange (Office of International Student Affairs) attended the activities.
