On the morning of May 31,
delegation headed by Yeonjoo Lee, Head of International Affairs and Global
Education Center, Ulsan College (UC) visited SSPU. JongCheol Kim, Director of Ulsan
Economic Promotion Agency, Changhoon Lee, General Manager of UC Global
Education Center, YoonSeok Kim,Coordinator
of Chinese Affairs, and JaeYoung Choi, Director of China-Korea Cultural Associationwere
in the delegation. Chair Song Baoru and Mo Liangjin, Deputy Party Secretary and
Vice President of SSPU, met with the delegation.
Chair Song first welcomed the
guests from Korea. He remarked that Ulsan College, with a distinctive schooling
characteristic, is committed to the training of technical talents to meet the
demand of shipbuilding industry, automobile industry and etc. Both SSPU and UC
boast strength in Engineering, contribute to the cultivation of applied talents
and focus on joint training through enterprise-university cooperation. SSPU has
made great efforts on internationalization. With the rapid development of International
cooperation in various forms, SSPU has explored broad collaboration on teacher
and student exchange with Korean universities. SSPU wishes to have a further
discussion with Ulsan College and launch substantial cooperation programs in no
time. Qiao Liqing, Director of International Office of SSPU, and Ms. Yeonjoo
Lee respectively introduced the two institutions. Both sides exchanged views
and reached a consensus on the fields and forms of cooperation, including
student and teacher exchange, etc.
During the visit, the delegation visited Smart Manufacturing Factory Lab and Engineering Training Center, and exchanged ideas with relevant teachers. Heads and teachers of International Office, School of International Vocational Education and School of International Exchange (Office of International Student Affairs) attended the activities.
