Recently, China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Association announced the results of the "2021 China Industry-University-Institute Cooperation Innovation and Promotion Award". Professor Zhou Mingyuan of SSPU School of Resources and Environmental Engineering was awarded 2021 China Industry-University-Institute Cooperation Innovation Award. It is the first time for SSPU teacher to win this honor.

Professor Zhou has been devoting himself to the research and industry-university-institute cooperation practice of solid-liquid separation of industrial suspension and the treatment and disposal of plastic and viscous materials such as sludge. He has presided over or participated in 8 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects and signed more than 70 non-government sponsored scientific research projects. He owns 9 national invention patents and 11 utility model patents. Hisresearch achievements won the third prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award.

China Industry-University-Institute Cooperation Innovation and Promotion Award was set by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Science and Technology Award Office. It aims to award institutions, individuals and innovative achievements that have made outstanding contributions to the promotion of industry-university-institute cooperation innovation in China. The award is the highest honorary award in industry-university-institute cooperation.
