Events of 2022 SSPU Global Partnership Week – Lecture and Study Abroad Fair of NABA Held Online

On the afternoon of March 9, as one of the events of 2022 SSPU Global Partnership Week, thelecture and study abroad fairwere given online by Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano (NABA), Italy. Nearly 30 students of SSPU School of Applied Arts and Design, and program coordinators of SSPU International Office and School of Applied Arts and Design attended the event.

  

 

Ms. Valentina Dalla Costa, Master of Arts in Interior, Product and Service Design, Social Design Course Advisor Leader of NABA, gave a lecture on Made in Italy: a Journey into Italian Design History. She elaborated on the history of Italian design, the concept of design, designers’ responsibilities, and topics on product design and application, concept on urban design, etc. After the lecture, Ms. Serena Sacchi, International Partnerships & Business Strategy Manager of NABA, introduced NABA and the student exchange programs. She expressed welcome to SSPU students to study in Italy and interacted with the present teachers and students.

  

 

Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti MilanoNABA, founded in 1980, is a world renowned art and design academy in Italy. SSPU and NABA have signed an agreement on 3+1 double degree program. Since 2017, 14 students in 3 batches from SSPU School of Applied Arts and Design have been to Italy to complete their double degree programs.

  

This event of NABA is part of 2022 SSPU Global Partnership Week. 2022 SSPU Global Partnership Week will be held online through March this year, including Program Day and Academic Salon. The Program Day, aiming at promoting student overseas exchanges, provides an opportunity for SSPU global partners to givestudy abroad fairsor lectures to SSPU students online. The events of Academic Salon are organized by SSPU colleges and schools, including online international conferences, academic seminars, lectures, etc. Experts and professors from SSPU global partners, and other domestic and overseas scholars in related fields will be invited to participate in the events.
