Recently, the projectKey Technologies forVirtual Factory Interoperability and their applications in MES,a National Key R&D program led by Prof. Bai Yuewei from SSPU School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Control Engineering has passed the performance evaluation and project acceptance organized by China Science and Technology Exchange Center under the Ministry of Science and Technology. The project is of great significance for pushing forward the construction of SSPU’s postgraduate program Mechanical Engineering, a first-class discipline at SSPU and improving the university’sscientific researchability.
During the implementation of the project, international innovative science and technology cooperation was conducted with institutions including Bournemouth University, UK, University of Groningen, Netherlands, Sapienza Universita di Roma, Italy, Universita degli studi di Modena e reggio emilia, Italy, GK Software AG, Germany, and domestic enterprise Wuhan KM Soft. The collaboration focused on the virtual factory interoperability and their applications in MES. The project has produced 6 science and technology reports, 25 high quality academic papers and 4 patents. The research results are awarded 2022 China Industry-University-Research Achievement Innovation Award, 2020 Best Practice Award of China Intelligent Manufacturing by e-works, etc.
The successful project acceptance of the national key R&D program undertaken by SSPU this time not only pushes forward the promotion and application of related research results in the field of advanced manufacturing in China, but also helps elevate the university’s influence in the informatization and application integration of the mechanical engineering manufacturing industry.
