On the morning of November 2, SSPU and Wayne State University (WSU), the U.S., held a video conference to discuss and promote overall exchanges and cooperation between the two universities. The attendees included Huajing Xiu Maske, Assistant Vice President of WSU, Qiao Liqing, Director of SSPU International Office, Wang Qin, Party Branch Secretary and Deputy Director of Engineering Training and Innovation Education Center (ETIEC), Zhu Wenhua, Director of ETIEC, Zhang Bofeng, Dean of School of Computer and Information Engineering, Li Ning, Vice Dean of School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Control Engineering, and other representatives.
Huajing Xiu Maske said that the two universities havemanysimilarities in terms of disciplines and programs and have kept long-term cooperation. WSU is willing to establish a strategic partnership with SSPU to carry outcomprehensiveand substantive international cooperation. Qiao Liqing hoped that the two sides will make cooperation plan together, and start the collaboration from WSU professors’ visit and teaching at SSPU next summer, thereby facilitating more extensive and closer cooperation between the two sides.
The two sides exchanged ideas on the implementation plan for selecting professors from WSU to teach at SSPU next year, discussed and reached a broad consensus on the cooperation in joint training of undergraduates, masters and doctors, transfer program, student exchange, teacher mobility, joint scientific research, etc.
