On the afternoon of October 16, Peter Birdsall, President and Chair of Executive Board, Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences (WUAS), the Netherlands, and Myra Qiu, Head of Executive Affairs of WUAS, visited SSPU. SSPU President Xie Huaqing met with the guests at the Academic Exchange Center.

President Xie firstly welcomed the guests to visit SSPU. He said that China and the Netherland have maintained good and close exchanges and cooperation in various areas. It is of great importance to strengthen the bilateral cultural exchanges, especially the university cooperation, between the two countries. The two universities are both committed to cultivating management talents with an engineering background and have built a good cooperation foundation. He hoped that the two sides could deepen understanding and carry out in-depth cooperation starting with that in the field of economics and management.

Both sides discussed and reached certain consensus on the potential cooperation, including the signing of the MOU, student exchange, joint education of postgraduates, teacher mobility, joint research, etc.

During the visit, the delegation had a conversation with representatives from SSPU School of Economics and Management, and had a campus tour. Heads and representatives from SSPU International Office, School of Economics and Management participated in the above activities.
