On the afternoon of Dec.10, José Miguel Sánchez,Dean of Cursos Internacionales of University of Salamanca (USAL), Spain, and representatives of USAL China Office visited SSPU. SSPU Vice President Bai Jianfeng met with the guests, and relevant heads and representatives of SSPU International Office, School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Control Engineering, School of Computer and Information Engineering, School of Economics and Management, and School of Foreign Languages and Cultural Communication attended the meeting.

Bai Jianfeng welcomed José Miguel Sánchez and his delegation. He said he was delighted that the two universities signed the MOU in September 2024 to establish the cooperative relationship based on friendly exchanges in the early stage. He hoped that the two sides would continue to maintain close exchanges, promote cooperation in various fields, and looked forward to achieving substantive cooperation results soon.

José Miguel Sánchez expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of SSPU. He introduced USAL’s university history, program setting, international cooperation and other aspects and responded positively to the various cooperation between the two universities.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed and reached a preliminary consensus on student exchanges and joint training programs, short-term programs, pathway programs from higher vocational education/undergraduate education to postgraduate education, joint supervision of doctoral students, faculty mobility, joint research, Spanish language teaching and others.

The delegation also had a lab tour to the teaching and research places such as Intelligent Manufacturing Factory Laboratory and laboratories of School of Computer and Information Engineering.
