SSPU Delegation Participates in 13th China-Italy Innovation and Cooperation Week

From Nov. 25 to Nov. 29, SSPU delegation led by Mr. Lu Min, Secretary of SSPU Party Committee, participated in the 13th China-Italy Innovation and Cooperation Week (Settimana Italia-Cina). Themed by Realizing the Value of Science and Technology, Responding to the Challenges of the Times, this year's event was highly valued by Chinese and Italian governments. Yin Hejun, Chinese Minister of Science and Technology, and Anna Maria Bernini, Minister of University and Research of Italy, respectively delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Both sides believe that science and technology innovation cooperation is an important part of the China-Italy comprehensive strategic partnership and the two sides should utilize their respective advantages, strengthen dialogue and sharing to jointly respond to the challenges of global science and technology innovation.



The main venue of the China-Italy Innovation and Cooperation Week was in Naples and the sub venue in Venice. A total of about 500 representatives from both countries attended the meeting in person, including 61 Chinese and Italian experts making special reports. The participants carried out in-depth exchanges and shared their research experiences in the fields of advanced manufacturing, climate change, disaster risk prevention and control, food production and processing system, polar science, marine science, fine arts and cultural heritage and so on. More than 180 representatives from Chinese universities, institutes and scientific and technological enterprises had one-on-one dialogues on practical cooperation with those from Italian side.



SSPU delegation participated in the opening ceremony and parallel forums in the fields of advanced manufacturing, climate change, food production and processing systems in Naples and Venice, and had one-on-one meetings with scientific and technological entities including Italian universities, research institutes and enterprises, such as University degli Studi di Salerno, University degli Studi di Foggia, Volvero, etc.
