On March 30, Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Technology and Application Seminar was held. The seminar was hosted by SSPU and organized by SSPU School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Control Engineering (IMCE).
The seminar was held online via ZOOM. Prof. Wang Zhifeng, Dean of SSPU IMCE, Prof. Li Ning, Vice Dean of IMCE, programs leaders and teachers, attended the seminar. The participants also included domestic and overseas scholars and experts from Bochum University of Applied Sciences, Germany, Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden, Sino-German College of Applied Sciences of Tongji University, Guangxi Normal University, Seage Technologies Inc., etc. Mr. Zhang Fei, Director of SSPU Smart Manufacturing Factory Lab, presided over the seminar.
Prof. Wang Zhifeng, Dean of SSPU IMCE, delivered the opening address. He expressed warm welcome to all the participating scholars and experts, introduced the general information and history of SSPU, and also the current development of IMCE’s discipline construction, scientific researches and faculty team.
On the seminar, scholars and experts from Germany, Sweden, the U.S., Shanghai, etc. delivered academic reports and shared their views and research achievements in the field of intelligent manufacturing on the topics including Digital Transformation in China’s Manufacturing Industry, Engineering Training For Digital Transformation, Application of Innovative CAE Technology in the Field of Engineering, Embedded Machine Learning for Decentralized Automation, Research on Application of Surface Plasmon Resonance, Smart Manufacturing Factory on Campus of SSPU, etc.
Mr. Kevin G.Jiang, Managing Director of Seage Technologies Inc., delivered a speech on Comparison of Digital Management in Manufacturing in China and the U.S. He shared his experience for more than twenty years in industry and made a comparison between the paths of digital transformation taken in China and other countries.
Mr. Oliver Schirme, Vice Dean of Sino-German College of Applied Sciences of Tongji University (CDHAW), gave a report onEngineering Training for Digital Transformation, in which he introduced the mechanism of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools and talent training mode at CDHAW.
Mr. Markus Wejletorpfrom Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) reported on the topic Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Technology and Application. With a case study of the technology innovation in advanced manufacturing enterprises in Sweden, he elaborated the latest applications of innovative CAE technology in autobody, powertrain design, shipbuilding, design of waste water process factories, etc., and the applications of 3D printing in making human organs and other organisms at BTH.
Prof. Daniel Schilberg from Bochum University of Applied Sciences delivered a speech on Embedded Machine Learning for Decentralized Automation, describing the application of big data and embedded technology.
Prof. Zhu Jun from Guangxi Normal University gave a report on Research on Application of Surface Plasmon Resonance and shared the latest research achievements of his team.
Prof. He Yafei from SSPU delivered a speech on Smart Manufacturing Factory on Campus of SSPU and shared experience of years of planning and building SSPU Smart Manufacturing Factory Lab.
After the themed reports, all participants had an in-depth discussion.
The Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Technology and Application Seminar is an academic platform that focuses on the frontier innovative technologies in intelligent manufacturing to discuss the hot topics of the subject and innovation of talent training modes. The seminar promoted the understanding and enhanced the academic exchanges between SSPU and outstanding scholars and experts from home and abroad.
