On the afternoon of November 6, the signing ceremony between SSPU and University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (FH Upper Austria) was held through video conference. On behalf of the two universities, SSPU President Xie Huaqing and President Gerald Reisinger of FH Upper Austria signed the Memorandum of Understanding for renewal. Participants of FH Upper Austria included Andreas Zehetner, Vice Presidentfor International Affairs, Iwona Hunstorfer, Head of International Office (Linz Campus), Kamilla Trubicki, Head of International Office (Wels Campus). Qiao Liqing, Director of SSPU International Office and other representatives attended the meeting as well.

During the meeting, President Xie Huaqing said that FH Upper Austria has always been one of the important partners of SSPU. Since the MOU was signed in 2016, the two universities have established a deep friendship and carried out friendly and stable cooperation such as student exchange program. The renewal of the MOU will open a new chapter for the cooperation between the two sides. It is hoped that the two universities will restart the cooperation as soon as possible, continue to deepen and promote the student exchange program, and develop substantive cooperation in more areas such as teacher mobility and joint research so as to deepen the cooperative partnership and to promote the common development of the two universities. The President believed that with the joint efforts, the cooperation will be steadily promoted and fruitful results will be achieved.

The two sides discussed cooperation in student exchange, teacher mobility, joint research, international conferences and agreed to work together to push forward relevant cooperation.
