The Professor Norbert, Professor Ye Yin jiao from Communications College of University of Rhode Island and Associate Professor Xu Ping from its Politics College visited our university in the morning of May 24. Zheng Peiyun, the Director of College of Arts and Sciences, met with the delegation of Professor Norbert, and Qu Lili, the Deputy Director of the International Office accompanied, as well as heads of relevant departments of College of Arts and Sciences . This meeting was chaired by Wu Yue, the President of School of Foreign Languages.

In the meeting, Zheng Peiyun showed welcome to American visitors; Qu Lili introduced the historical developments, current construction situations, teaching and scientific researches and international exchanges of our university to them; and then Wu Yue introduced the features and advantages of organization structure, discipline setting, international cooperation and practical training and employment of College of Arts and Sciences. Then, Professor Norbert introduced the general situation and discipline features of University of Rhode Island and expected to further cooperate with us.

Both sides discussed the discipline connection, communication and visit and famous foreign teachers widely and deeply. Zheng Peiyun concluded that the name of College of Arts and Sciences of University of Rhode Island is the same with ours, and also the discipline setting. This built good foundation for each other, and both we will make wider and deeper cooperation in the aspect of discipline interaction, course establishment, teacher and student communication and project cooperation.

After the meeting, Norbert and his colleagues also visited the exhibition hall of Bao Qifan Innovation Road with great interest, and made professional speech for our teachers and students.
