The delegation led by VicePresidentXuYufa visited Broward College (BC), the US, CINVESTAV-IPN, Mexico, and Universidad del Valle de Mexico (UVM) from Oct. 26 to Nov. 2. During the visit, the delegation was warmly received by the three universities and had deep discussions on cooperation including joint construction of specialties, teacher training and student exchange with the universities which were helpful to further expand international cooperation and exchange.

　　The cooperation in the aspect of Sino-foreign joint programs between Broward College and SSPU has lasted for a couple of years. On Oct. 27, the delegation was warmly received by President J. David Armstrong,David Moore, AssistantVice President for International Education and Rosey Yang, District Director of Center for Global Education & Commerce and others of Broward College. Both sides reviewed the fruit of cooperation since 2013 and informed the present operation of the two BC programs to each other. They also exchanged ideas in depth on some related issues and further cooperation and reached a consensus. During the visit, the delegation visited some teaching and practice places of BC, such as Music Production Laboratory, Library, Health Science Laboratory, Laboratory of Rehabilitation Nursing,Pilot Training Base and Aircraft Maintenance Workshop.

　　CINVESTAV-IPN is a teaching and scientific research institution that focuses on master and doctoral education. CINVESTAV ranks the second of all the research centers in Latin America and 109th in the world. It has trained 13,500 masters and doctors in total since it was founded. This number accounts for 50% of the total master and doctor graduates in Mexico.This was the first time for the two sides to develop international cooperation and exchange. The delegation was warmly received by VicePresident Dr. Gerardo Antonio Herrera Corral,Ms. Anaid, Director of International Office, and Dr. Yu Wen, Director of Automation Department on Oct. 30. VicePresident Dr. Gerardo Antonio Herrera Corral extended welcome to the delegation on behalf of the institute and gave an introduction to the teaching, scientific research and management of the institute in detail. During the visit, VicePresident XuYufa thanked VicePresident Dr. Gerardo Antonio Herrera Corral for their warm reception. They had deep discussions on teacher visiting, student exchange, SSPU graduate students applying for postgraduate at CINVESTAV and graduate student exchange in the next stage and reached a consensus.On behalf of our university,VicePresidentXuYufa sincerely extended the invitation to the Institute to take part in 2018 Global Partnership Week ofSSPU and VicePresident Dr. Gerardo Antonio Herrera Corral accepted the invitation with pleasure.

　　Since the establishment of partnership between Laureate Educationand Shanghai Polytechnic University, the two sides have been committed to the cooperation in the fields of teacher training, student exchange, the construction of disciplines and majors, etc. Universidad del Valle de Mexicothe delegation visited this time is under Laureate International Universities. It ranks the first in Federal District of Mexico and the second in the whole country as a private comprehensive university.The delegation visited Universidad del Valle de Mexico on Oct. 31. They were warmly received by Mtro. Sammy Lam Tango, Director of Development Office. Mtro. Sammy Lam Tango introduced the university's mission, general situation, organizations and the model of business operation in detail. On behalf of SSPU, VicePresidentXuYufa introduced the scale, development orientation, training mode, etc. and exchanged ideas on future cooperation in student exchange, the construction of disciplines and majors.The delegation visited theteaching places at COACAN campus of the university after the meeting.
