Recently, the academic paperDisposable Electrochemical Aptasensor Based on Carbon Nanotubes-V2O5-chitosan Nanocomposite for Detection of Ciproxacin was published online on the well-known international journalSensors and Actuators B: Chemical (JCR Area I, IF=5.401) by postgraduate Hu Xiaobing under the guidance of Prof. Zhu Zhigang of College of Engineering. It is Hu’s third paper published in the Journal. The other two wereHighly Sensitive H2S Gas Sensor Based on Pd-doped CuO Nanoflowers with Low Operating Temperature, Sens Actuators B. 253 (2017) 809-817 andHeterostructure of CuO Microspheres Modified with CuFe2O4 Nanoparticles for Highly Sensitive Gas Sensor, Sens Actuators B. 264 (2018) 139-149. The paper was finished by Hu Xiaobing during his exchange from March to September in 2017 to the research group led by Prof. Jean Louis Marty in theUniversity of Perpignan, France. It is also a significant achievement made through cooperation between SSPU and the University of Perpignan.

Many innovative achievements in the field of semiconductor material synthesis and application have been achieved by the research group led by Prof. Zhu Zhigang while the research group led by French Prof. Marty is at the frontier in the field of making and mechanism of electrochemical sensor. With the advantages of both sides, Hu Xiaobing made a disposable microelectrochemical aptamer sensor for the detection of ciprofloxacin (a common antibiotic) and for the detection of antibiotics in milk samples. It is the first electrochemical aptamer sensor for ciprofloxacin detection that has been reported so far. In the future, it can be widely used for fast detection in the fields of food, agriculture, fishery, medical treatment, environment and so on.
