On the morning of May 24, the signing ceremony of“2+2”double degree agreement between College of Arts and Sciences of SSPU and that of University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC), the US, was held at SSPU. Kristi Holsinger, Associate Dean of UMKC College of Arts and Sciences, Monica Mingucci, Director of Language Teaching and Acquisition Center, Ang SY Wilson, Director of China and Asia Pacific Operation, and Carla Mebane, Director of UMKC High School/College Dual Credit Partnership attended the ceremony.

The two sides reached a preliminary consensus in 2018 on signing the cooperative agreement concerning degree program in four areas, which are English, Public Relations, Applied Statistics and Applied Chemistry.

On the ceremony, Dr. Holsinger spoke highly of the achievements gained in the early stage, and was confident of the double degree program. Mr. Gu Guoxing, Party Secretary of SSPU College of Arts and Sciences, stated that both universities have made great efforts to realize the steady cooperation. The double degree agreement is a new beginning to push forward SSPU internationalization.
