On November 16, the approval list of 2023 Shanghai Educational Sciences Research Program was released by Shanghai Educational Sciences Planning Office. Four SSPU projects got the funding. They are Research on the Implementation Mechanism of Industrial Tutors in Vocational Colleges under the Background of Integration of Industry and Education undertaken by teacher Chang Xiaoyong from Vocational and Technical Teacher Education School, Research on the Reform of the Training of Vocational Teachers in the Perspective of Type Education by teacher Zheng Shiliang from Vocational and Technical Teacher Education School, Research on the Training Strategy of Art and Design Literacy of New Engineering Talents in Applied Universities conducted by teacher Liang Chao from School of Applied Arts and Design, and Research on the Online-Offline combined Teaching Practice of Aesthetic Education in Universities under the Background of Education Informatization by teacher Zhang Yelin from Art Education Center.
Shanghai Educational Sciences Research Program is set up, funded and supervised by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and applied by educators, educational administrators and personnel from scientific research institutes at all levels. It adheres to the principle of "combining theory with practice" to solve the theoretical and practical problems in educational reform and development, and to promote in-depth integration of educational research and teaching. In 2023, SSPU’s eight educational sciences research projects were approved, including the Special Research Project on Philosophy and Social Sciences of Universities in Shanghai which also announced the approval list earlier. This sets a new record high over the years, shows SSPU’s progress in educational sciences research and has a positive meaning to promote the development of such aspect of the university.
